My baby is 6!!!!

Can't believe my baby is 6 all ready - he has been soooo looking forward to his birthday and has made a calendar to count down the days - thought I would have a problem getting him to bed the night before but he went out like a light!
Next day however he was up bright and early - too early - 5am asking if it was morning yet? managed to keep him going until 6.30 then had to give in and let him open his presents.

Bit of a battle with Sophie trying to stop her opening them all - Tom was kind and let her do a couple but she was just ripping the paper off and moving onto the next one before he had a chance to see what he had got so I had to stop her - she'll get plenty at Christmas!

He seemed pleased with his biker mice - weird things but made him happy!

The cake was bought (shock horror!!) cos I was feeling poorly - I'll make him one for his party at the weekend - seeing as the rest is catered for at a soft play place the least I can do is make the cake he has requested - LEGO!

updating blog

I only tend to update my blog when I have a photo or layout to share. As I haven't done a single layout so far this month and my camera hasn't been out of it's case for over a week (unheard of!!) I have nothing to post :( I decided to restart the HS:MS prompts as a way of getting back into photo taking but now have the stinkiest cold ever and feel like crap :(
Give me a few days and I'll be back in action and hope to have some photos to share :)

Halloween

Finally have a Halloween picture to post! - we didnt go out on the night as the children are still a bit young and I didnt fancy tripping over in the dark in my 'condition' so we let the trick or treaters come to us - 13 groups in all - it was great fun. Sophie dressed up, Ben did but then wet himself so went to the door exposing all, Tom half dressed then got too hot and went to the door in his school uniform - all in all not great photo opportunities. Yesterday however Playgroup hosted a 'Room on the Broom' party and I had an excuse to try out our new face paints - ben and Sophie were really pleased with their finished look - Tom wasnt interested but did wear a taratula Tshirt and let me spike his hair so at least he looked like he had made some effort!! -

Tom really enjoyed the apple bobbing at the party and wouldnt stop until he got one - he was soaked but happy. Sophie decorated a hat and won the school age children category so that made her day and Ben was just happy bopping around to the music and playing with his friends. I was official photographer - managed a few decent shots despite the hall being in darkness to add to the atmosphere!
